Donald Peer

Mr. Peer started his career on Wall Street in 1995 as an executive assistant to a top producer at GKN Securities.

He learned telephone sales as well as corporate finance through intense work ethic and his ability to understand clients’ needs on a personal and corporate level.

In 1997 Mr. Peer joined Hornblower & Weeks, Inc. (HBW) as an executive vice president in charge of international business opportunities. Mr. Peer worked directly with Eric Ellenhorn, the company’s CEO on numerous HBW financing deals.

Mr. Peer was instrumental in the structuring of Visual Data Corporation, as well assisting in private financing over $2.0mm.

In 1999 Mr. Peer was the lead banker for Visual Data Corp. helping to structure the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the company and raising over $5.0mm

During his tenure Mr. Peer worked on the following deals with an aggregate total of funds raised to exceed $60mm. The deals include Nexus Communications, U.S. Trucking Inc., Uniloc, Inc. and Myturn Computers.

Mr. Peer joined Vfinance from 2001-2002 in their Red Bank NJ office and assisted in the structure and financing of Buyers United through a reverse merger. He also raised $1.5mm for an online gaming venture that is now public on the AM exchange in London.

Mr. Peer for 2002-2005 joined a Real estate trust and learned the real estate business from the ground floor.

In 2005 Mr. Peer reapplied for his series 7 license through Skybanc and was able to manage his own Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) through a Pennsylvania office. Mr. Peer maintained all monthly expenses including all employees’ salaries.

Mr. Peer’s responsibilities will be in the investment banking division as well as stock brokerage.

Mr. Peer currently holds Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.

 

   

John Rooney

John Rooney started his career in 1991 on the floor of NYMEX/COMEX working for Refco.

In 1992 Mr. Rooney became a member of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He traded on the floor as a market maker in the S/P 500 and S/P 100 option pits.

In 1994 Mr. Rooney moved to back to New York City and founded Hornblower & Weeks, Inc., a full service brokerage firm. He built the firm over the next decade to 5 offices throughout various states with over 200 registered representatives. The firm raised over $150 million through private placements, initial public offerings and reverse mergers.

In 2003 Mr. Rooney left the brokerage business and assisted Solaris Opportunity Fund in raising over $100 million. He still retains a position with the fund.

Mr. Rooney has joined A.G. Becker to oversee the marketing of alternative assets and hedge funds division that will cover all asset classes.

He will also assist Mr. Peer with the investment banking division of the company.
